Reading

Somewhere between personal growth, overthinking and escapism lies my taste in books. I’m always on the hunt for something that will open my mind and force me to rethink a concept, maybe myself.

These are my current favourites.

Queer activism

We’re all born the same: humans. That’s why when the judicial, medical, social and working systems treat us differently, we need to stand up for equality.

My approach

I don’t set out to change minds, answer every question or be a spokesperson for the community. No one can do those things, really.

My goal is to share parts of my life in an authentic and lighthearted way, without editing out the queer bits.

Reading books

I love reading queer theory and having my mind changed by queer and feminist philosophers.

I’m always open to suggestions. My current favourites are Whipping Girl by Julia Serano and Women, Race and Class by Angela Davis.

Supporting organisations

I try to make tangible, local changes by donating time, money and skills to LGBT+ and feminist associations.

Some noteworthy ones like Mermaids, Arcigay and Non Una Di Meno.

Supporting creators

I want to make other queer people feel seen and understand themselves.

I highly recommend the works of Caelan Conrad, Contrapoints and Philosophy Tube as a starting point.
